INDIANAPOLIS – White River State Park strives to provide you all the information you need to "Know Before You Go" downtown Indianapolis and enjoy Super Bowl XLVI (46)!
In addition to the BIG game itself, downtown Indianapolis will host over 100 public and private events beginning January 27, 2012, including the NFL Experience (inside the Indiana Convention Center) and the Super Bowl Village (free outside epi-center of awesome) on Georgia Street (between the Indiana Convention Center and Banker's Life Fieldhouse).
With the sheer volume of activities, thousands of additional visitors expected in Indianapolis from January 27, 2012 to February 5, 2012, and heightened security measures in place for the Super Bowl XLVI (46) itself, there will be traffic restrictions in and around Lucas Oil Stadium, the Indiana Convention Center, and the Super Bowl Village along Georgia Street.
Super Bowl XLVI (46) has a pedestrian-friendly plan that provides safe and efficient access to downtown Indianapolis for local workers and residents alike. This plan ensures safe and efficient traffic flow for motorists and pedestrians around the numerous events and for visitors.
Five things you need to "Know Before You Go" in order to best navigate downtown Indianapolis:
1. Downtown Indianapolis street restrictions and Super Bowl Village deliveries http://www.indianapolissuperbowl.com/downtown-street-restrictions Learn which streets are closed to all non-emergency vehicles and which are restricted only to garage access and delivery vehicles, along with delivery procedures to the Super Bowl Village, along Georgia Street, and Lucas Oil Stadium.
